Born in Kyoto in 1973, Naoko grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of Ōhara. After studying in the U.K., she has lived in Athens since 1996.
In 2005, she launched her blog “Greece no Gohan” (Greek Food) to introduce Greek cuisine, which was still little known in Japan at the time.
She contributes to magazines, collaborates with Japanese food companies on research projects, and provides recipes to Greek food manufacturers.
Her wide range of recipes—from classic favorites to rare regional dishes and original modern Greek cuisine—is highly regarded for faithfully recreating authentic local flavors.
