I grew up in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia.
When I was a child, many Japanese trading company families lived in the city, and my family shared close and meaningful relationships with them. Being treated to Japanese mochi is still a warm and cherished memory for me.
Because of these experiences, Japan has been a special place in my heart since childhood.

In the countries I have visited, I learned how to cook the dishes that touched me, making them my own through practice.
For me, cooking is not simply about preparing a meal, but about expressing and sharing passion.

Three years ago, I moved to Japan due to my husband’s work, and was given the opportunity to live within a culture I have long admired.
Now, I would like to share the culture and culinary traditions of the country where I was raised—Tunisia—with everyone in Japan. This desire is what led me to start this cooking class.

Through the use of spices, the balance of ingredients, and the sensibility found in everyday home cooking, Tunisian cuisine reveals its unique character.
It is not reserved only for special occasions, but is simple, approachable, and naturally suited to everyday meals.
I share each dish with care, weaving in my own memories, pride, and love for the cuisine.

Please enjoy this time as a journey to the Tunisian table.
I very much look forward to meeting and cooking with you.

Tunisian coffee

Tunisian coffee is often flavored with flower waters such as geranium, rose, and orange blossom, allowing you to enjoy its delicate and aromatic fragrance.

This is also couscous (celebrational) with lamb, raisins, chickpeas and almonds.

The dish shown in the photo is a very special type of tajine, prepared only for festive occasions. Bone-in lamb is generously covered with layers of dried fruits and nuts, so abundant they almost hide the meat from view. On this day, this dish alone is served and enjoyed as the centerpiece of the meal.
